MICHAEL WHARTON
Michael was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and started playing the drums at age 7. He joined his 1st band at the age of 12 and quickly found his passion in performing live for crowds ever since.
Mike began to pay his dues on the music scene playing with several bands in and around the Central Ohio area. You may have seen his face in bands like Ball-N-Chain, Machine Gun Holiday ,DC Surge and more notably his 13 year run with prog metal band Mr. Hyde. Mr Hyde landed such high profile gigs as a supporting act for Warrant, Quiet Riot, Sebastian Bach and L.A.Guns. The band built up a large enough fanbase to start headlining their own shows and headed into the studio to record their own material. They recorded two CDs, one released worldwide through Perris Records that even received some attention in Modern Drummer magazine.
In August of 2008 Mike was recruited to lay down the grooves for The DiVide band. His high energy, off the hook crazy attitude and playing skills play an integral part to the bands live shows.
