CHRIS STEBERL
Chris Steberl has been playing the guitar since the age of 8 years old and the instrument has become a great passion of his throughout his life as a musician/teacher/recording artist/songwriter. His most notable work has been with his instrumental band/project Alcazar : After WINNING the Battle of the Bands without a singer in 1989 -- the band released 2 independent EPs with "Visions and Spells" and "Gothic Belladonna" in the early 90s. The band opened for such acts as Greg Howe, Tony Macalpine, Helix, Foghat & Dream Theater. In 2000 Chris self released a solo CD "Play Times Over" laying the groundwork for his first international release with Lion Music in Europe (www.lionmusic.com) entitled Project Alcazar "Reasons for a Decade" the CD received great reviews and another release has been highly anticipated but not yet completed. Chris went on to perform on several compilation CDs with the record label paying tributes to such guitar greats as Jason Becker (Opus Pocus) Uli Jon Roth (Electric Sun) and Jimi Hendrix (Manic Depression) In July 2007 Chris joined The DiVide bringing years of experience and expertise to the band and their diversity in styles of music. His sense of humor and love to perform LIVE adds to the multitalented lineup now that will remain in place for many years to come. Chris is also the "WEBMASTER" of the bands site.
